On Planet GNOME I saw this post about cairo-clock
I checked it out and yes! in the universe backport-repository of Ubuntu Edgy cairo-clock is available now. (Not sure where to find it in Feisty)
sudo apt-get install cairo-clock
Nice customizable clock.
