Location Tracking Solutions Firm Utilizes rPath As Part Of Product Solution

Newbury Networks, a developer of tracking appliances to locate Wireless Fidelity, or WiFi, enabled devices, is using technology developed by Raleigh-based rPath to bring a new location appliance to market.

Newbury utilized rPath’s rBuilder for the creation of Linux-based software appliances in launching the device. It is designed to locate WiFi devices linked to an enterprise network in order to track assets, include for security seasons and also for network provisioning.

The choice of rPath technology enabled it to speed product development to weeks rather than months, Newbury said.
