Mozilla’s and Apple’s browser utilities are making gains on market leader Internet Explorer. Microsoft’s Windows-only Web browser is still clearly the dominant player, but its numbers are steadily decreasing. It started 2006 at 85.31 percent. In January 2005, however, it held 89.44 percent of the market. Its loss is a gain for Firefox and Safari.
