IEs 4 Linux or: How do I install Internet Explorer on Linux “the easy way”

Filed under: internet explorer, Kubuntu, linux, Tuxicity, Ubuntu, xubuntu — tuxicity @ 3:05 pm

While I was browsing through the Gentoo forums i noticed this post about installing IE with IEs 4 Linux.

I went to the IEs 4 Linux website and, being an Ubuntu user, followed the guidelines for Ubuntu to install IE6.

To my amazement it worked flawlessly and had setup IE6 in no time.
I have no serious use for IE6 but I can imagine others, like developers of websites do.

So if you need IE6 for whatever reason, go here and see if you have the requirements to set it up.

Its seriously easy on any modern distro.
