Filed under: Gimp, Kubuntu, Tuxicity, Ubuntu, xubuntu — tuxicity @ 5:22 am

Last week Gimp 2.4 came out and of course this is a must have for anyone who edits/ manipulates images in Ubuntu

Gimp 2.4 for Ubuntu gutsy Gibbon is available from here , just download the files and install them (sudo dpkg -i), after install do a sudo apt-get -f install to remove some obsoleted Gimp Package, this also removes ubuntu-desktop, but hey, thats just a container package and can be removed safely.

Enjoy gimp 2.4 and make sure to read the release notes, they contain some interesting footage on new features.

Resources : Getdeb.net and The Gimp homepage.

NOTE: Gimp2.4.1 is now available too!.
